“All that Life teaches us”

Essence is everything. . . What is really most essential in life? Why do we so often fail to realize, or simply forget, what is most essential in our lives? How do we come to realize or remember again? And are any questions more essential than these? I wanted to try to capture these matters in crystallized form in the verses below!

Simon Rees

Through that which is Broken – that Destroyed –
And that which is Finished: Null and Void –

Through that which is Joined – that we Create –
And that which Discovers a Happier fate –

All that Life teaches us – All that we Learn –
Is what is Essential: and how to Discern.
